Process Presentation "Rockport"

It was the first real research that I have done for a design project, everything before was working on preconceived ideas and developing them farther. I had never done a sophisticated research like starting from breaking down the brief to its basic elements and making the keyword list and moving on to the image research…etc
i don't recall referring to so many books before that project

most of the Rockports concept was developed in my car as I was driving,

as well as th
e shower.

I would collect images at my computer or on my desk flipping through books and what not, but once I step away my brain would start thinking of how would my final product look like considering the data I have found so far… how can I make a connection between some of those elements to communicate an idea. What was sorta cool for me in that project was that I was looking up doctors as people who could afford buying those expensive shows, and then here the inspiration comes when I come across a picture of a doctor looking at an X-Ray image (inspiration is everywhere). The big lesson that I learned was never let your creativity lead your research, let the research lead your creativity cause then your results are for more unexpected and thus effective.

Finally two heads are better than one and three are better than two, after I made the X-Ray, all Polly had to say was “I almost wanna see it moving” and that was exactly what was missing.

  1. ”The big lesson that I learned was never let your creativity lead your research, let the research lead your creativity cause then your results are for more unexpected and thus effective.“ that is wonderful realization. i think you need to make this statement bold and lose the image of the twins, the shower too. the books and car are good. also link to or show your finished project rockport project.
